The garden is really coming together nicely! I've spent 4 days on planting, mulching and weeding so far and it's really paying off! We're very close to being entirely done with the planting phase of the habitat. I only have a few holes to fill in and then I just have to keep on top of weeding and other maintenance tasks.
Outside of the habitat building, I have also been busy with working on a method of plant identification for the volunteers in the garden. At Toivo- The educational director's suggestion I've been meeting with volunteers who have worked extensively in the hoop house and asking them what would help them relay the information to the visitors. So far I've met with three people and they have been so helpful. I've been able to pinpoint several themes in our conversations that I will be focusing on for my project. I'll talk more about this after I discuss this with Toivo in a couple of days.
